In order to further dominate the women hair removal market, Veet turned their focus from creams and lotions to commission Shape for a new line of rechargeable and battery operated shavers and epilators that would stand out in an already over saturated market. We took cues from nature with organic floral forms, such as tulips, and infused them into the contours and co-injected grip surfaces of all the products. Value was added by incorporating functional features such as LED light to illuminate the hairs while trimming to make sure nothing is missed. A unique Veet “jewel” logo detail was added to tie the products together in a lineup. Veet test-marketed these products in Europe against Braun, Philips and Hitachi and was happy with the success and eventually brought the product line to North America.
